♦ Amorim Acousticork U85 is a soundproof floor substrate providing impact noise and airborne sound insulation of floating screed in new floors as well as in cases of renovations (ΔLw=23dB).
♦ It consists of agglomerated cork with recycled polyurethane foam and recycled rubber layer (SBR) with PU elastomer bonding agent, with a density of 280-400kg/m³.

♦ Additionally, the total thickness of the U85 substrate is 4mm consisting of corrugated recesses with a thickness of 2mm.This special design of the substrate enables the increase of sound dampening produced by the knocking noises, while at the same time it functions as a means of absorbing the vibration that appear on the floor surface. 

♦ Amorim Acousticork U85 is placed loose laid on the surface of the floor slab before the injection of the cement screed (underscreed), in cases of sound insulation of a new floor or in cases of floor renovation, when we have no restriction on the new floor height.This type of application (underscreed) allows the substrate to be compatible with any final floor finishing (LVT, LAMINATE, wooden floor, PVC/vinyl flooring, ceramic tiles).

* The joints that are created between the rolls during the loose laid installation, must be sealed with the strong self-adhesive cloth tape, called DUCT TAPE.
